HK Engine Components Casting Division is located at Weston, West Virginia.
The company was founded in 1989.
HKEC Castings has been ISO 9001 - 2000 certified since 1997. This is just one assurance of the quality and consistency of our castings. HK has very extensive experience in the metal casting industry, giving us a clear advantage to produce
your casting requirements. We know how to design and produce the molds and
other components necessary for consistent castings completely conforming to
your specifications.
Metals produced include ASTM A 48 and 278, class 30 through 50 gray iron, as
well as ASTM A 536 and 395 ductile iron in all appropriate grades. HK Castings
utilizes a state-of-the-art medium frequency 4,000-pound capacity coreless
induction melting furnace with molding accomplished using a Furan resin binder
with an acid catalyst to produce flask-less molds.
We also have facilities for stress relief and annealing heat treating services, as
well as a furnace brazing operation.
In addition, HKEC Casting also supplies castings to a sister division at the Weston site, which does preliminary machining. This division employees between 15 and 30 operators, depending on market activity.
